America's Most Wanted Recipes
Aug. 11, 2014
Anytime I have eaten at a restaurant, I wished that I had the recipes so that I could make them myself. I try to avoid spending money at a restaurant. It can get expensive to eat out especially when you add in a tip. So I was so happy to recipe a copy of "American's Most Wanted Recipes at the Gril" to review. Although I was tempted by many recipes to try, I picked out A&W Deluxe Grilled Chicken Sandwich.
Here is the recipe
1 8oz boneless skinless chicken breast
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, such as Lawry's
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 hamburger buns
2 teaspoons of butter
2 tablespoons of ranch dressing
6 slices dill pickle
2 thick tomato slices
1 leaf iceberg lettuce
Flatten the chicken breasts. Sprinkle both sides with the seasoned salt and pepper.
Grill the chicken breasts on the grill. While the chicken breasts are cooking, coat the hamburger buns with the butter and grill the buns. Once the buns are grilled put some ranch dressing on the bottom bun. Then put the pickles and then the chicken breasts. Then add the tomatoes and lettuce and put the remaining rand dressing on.
I did make some modifications. I used my George Foreman Gril instead of a charcoal grill. And I doubled the recipe. I don't know why I didn't think of making something like this for family but they loved it and it will make it into the family dinner rotation.
Some other recipes that are in the book that are tempting to make are: Applebee's," Grilled Oriental Chicken Salad," Chipotle Mexican Grill, "Burrito Bowls," and Panda Express, "Mandarin Chicken."
Other books to consider are " America's Most Wanted Recipes Just Desserts" and "America's Most Wanted Recipes Favorite Restaurants." I think if anyone who is trying to cut back on dining expenses but would still like the restaurant food would enjoy these books. Or even if you want to kick up your dinner rotation.
