Homemade Banana Bread
Feb. 16, 2015
Since it is cold and snowy in Kansas City along with a large portion of the rest of the US, I am sharing one of my favorite recipes that I enjoy on a cold day. My kids enjoy it as well. It is very moist and can be enjoyed with butter or without since it is so moist.
Here is my favorite recipe for Banana Bread.
Better Homes and Gardens Banana Bread
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups banana
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cooking oil
I like to use two small loaf pans instead of 1 large loaf pan. I think it cooks better and easier to cook with.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease loaf pan. Mix the eggs, bananas, sugar, and oil. After it is all combined, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 55 to 65 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Enjoy. The wonderful smells can fill up the whole house which I really enjoy on a cold day.
