A government furlough may cause a shortage of meat or prices to rise beginning March 1. U.S. meat inspectors may not be working for up to 2 weeks because of goverment spending cuts. It is estimated that throughout the U.S. there is at least 8 days of meat in storage. With the potiential meat shortage or the potiential rising price of meat, it might be a good time to stock up on meat or look for alternatives. I did see that ground beef/ground round is on sale so stock up if you can afford it. To read more about the furloughs, go to at Meat Shortage. Have a HOPtastic day!!!
